Rocky LaPorte
with Andrew Norelli

Saturday February 4, 2012   8:00 p.m.
Rocky LaPorte’s endearing, streetwise performance style, delivered in his trademark Brooklyn accent, has made him a sought after entertainer across the country. Rocky’s style is something that just can't be manufactured: endearing, yet slightly twisted and easily accessible with a touch of New York aloofness and attitude. Easy going and likable.

Rocky's performance is readily appreciated by everyone. He has been performing on the road as a top-notch, in demand and enormously popular club headliner, and has accumulated a trunk full of TV appearances and awards along the way. Rocky was most recently singled out with 2nd place honors as “top comedian”in a nationwide poll hosted by Comedy Central in January 2007.

Rocky's standup is currently featured in Showtimes "Godfathers of Comedy" which premiered this past January. Rocky joins four other Italian comics in a performance that will be seen on Showtime for the next 2 years.

Rocky has appeared on popular stand-up comedy shows, television sitcoms like “Cheers,” and worked on a variety of comedy series pilots for CBS. He debuted to a standing ovation on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in October 2004. His own half hour comedy special “Comedy Central Presents Rocky LaPorte” first aired on Comedy Central in June 2005.

Rocky visited Iraq with Drew Carey and the trip became a Showtime movie called "Patriot Act: a Jeffrey Ross Home Movie.”

With his unique accent and very funny, yet warm delivery, Rocky LaPorte is becoming more popular by the day.

Today Rocky is one of the most sought after comedians in the country. His clean observations and take on life have made him a favorite in all the top comedy clubs, corporate events and television shows. Rocky’s likeability and every-man style gives him an unparalleled universal appeal that any audience can enjoy and relate to.

Opening for Rocky-Andrew Norelli has a gift for comedy and has shared it on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Byron Allen Show, Live at Gotham on Comedy Central and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Letting audiences in on his frustration and excitement with the world around him, Andrew brings his act to El Campanil Theatre.  Andrew was the winner of the inaugural Las Vegas World Series of Comedy and placed second at the Boston Comedy Festival.
